Within the last decade, the airport has experienced some major refurbishments across each terminal in which Edward and Wilson has played a helping hand in completing.
The main Scope of Works (of which we were apart of) included the planning of Assets Replacement (removal and reinstallation of bridges, elevators and escalators), Energy & Utilities Management (M&E service rerouting and boiler house redevelopment), Civils (grounds work and foundations) and Construction works.

SERVICE PROVIDED
Project Scheduling And Management
Working from first principle and utilising the available project information, a detailed baseline programme was created in line with the NEC contract. In addition to the baseline programme, a number of look ahead, target and recovery programmes were created and used on site as a road map to completing the project.
Controls and Project Performance
One of the requirements for this project was to ensure that the cost and schedule was on track so we set up the relevant tools to ensured that this goal was accomplished. Edward and Wilson worked alongside the project controls team to ensure that accurate data was captured, so to enable the analysis and report preparation which was used to make major decisions on the project.
Commercial Management
The commercial risk on projects of this magnitude is huge therefore to mitigate this, the NEC3 contract was used to administer the project. One of the key roles played by Edward and Wilson was to demonstrated how compensation events affected contracted & planned completion dates using Primavera P6 and highlight terminal float within the programme
Stakeholder Engagement
Communication is key on a project of this scale so we worked collaboratively with other delivery integrators such as Mace, Fijitsu and Morgan Sindell to ensure coordination between work packages are maintained.
We also attend weekly site progress meeting with the project management team and the client to discuss any relevant risks and issues.
