PROJECT SUMMARY

Edward and Wilson was contracted as M&E Planning Consultant on the Grade 1 listed Regent’s Crescent luxury apartment and office space regeneration. This project consisted of 67 apartments, 9 mews, 3 levels of basement and an isolated business centre at a value of over £185m.   Originally built in 1820 by the Royal architect, John Nash, Regent’s Crescent has been transformed to the highest quality. Regent’s Crescent is an exclusive new build development in a highly coveted location on the edge of London’s Regent Park. It is one of the most famous Royal Parks and retains many elements of John Nash’s original design covering more than 400 acres.

Project Scheduling And Management

Working from first principle and utilising the available project information, a detailed baseline programme was created in line with JCT contract. In addition to the baseline programme, a number of look ahead, target and recovery programmes were created and used on site as a road map to completing the project.

Controls and Project Performance

One of the requirements for this project was to ensure that the cost and schedule was on track so we set up the relevant tools to ensured that this goal was accomplished. Not only did we set up the project control processes, we also captured all the data, ran the analysis and prepared the reports which was used to make major decisions on the project.  

Procurement and Logistics

Due to the limited space on site, procurement and logistics played an important role in ensuring the project was completed as efficiently as possible. Using our experience from previous projects, we were able to set up a number of schedules to aid with the challenges which was presented throughout the duration of the project.

Stakeholder Engagement

Communication is key on a project of this scale so we frequently liaised with the client and all subcontractors to receive key information ensuring that this was incorporated within the schedules and communicated to the site team.

We also attend weekly site progress meeting with the project management team and the client to discuss any relevant risks and issues.
