PROJECT SUMMARY

Regeneration of the Grade 2 listed Battersea power station. The power station includes 100 new retail, food and beverage units, as well as a 2,000 capacity events venue and a unique chimney lift experience, an energy centre, c.500,000 sq ft of new office space and 253 new residential homes.

Project Scheduling and Tender Preparation

Utilising the available project information, a detailed baseline programme was created in addition to a corresponding programme methodology detailing the project overview and key aspects of the programme which was to be included as part of the bid submission to the client.

Procurement and Logistics

One of the client’s requirement was to utilise a high number of prefabrication modules to reduced the onsite activity and schedule risk. We developed a strategy with Wates SES Prism offsite manufacturing facilities so to coordinate with the programme and ensure a JIT production.

Advisory and Expert Opinion

Our experience in the industry gave us the ability to offer expert opinion on many aspects of planning how the project would be executed. This was then used to develop key programme information for the estimators in order to create accurate prelim estimation by the bid team.  

Stakeholder Engagement

In order to develop a package for submission, we had to have regular communication with the client. Frequent liaison with the client and all key stakeholders enable us to receive the required information to be incorporated within the schedules and tender package.
